All babies are Hand fed and abundance weaned. They Spend thier entire young lives being handled and cuddled along with my own 3 pet Jardines. They love to be held, love to play with toys, and will accept just about any food item presented to them by hand. They are on a healthy diet consisting of pellets and treats of oranges, fortified macaroni, canned veggies (potatoes and carrots are especially well liked), and the occaisional nut.




The babies are so well handled that they have learned to lie upside down in the palm of your hand and allow you to gently pick them up by the body. They allow petting of the wings and love to be kissed on the neck and cheeks.



Baby Jardines are Black and Green with scalloping on the wings. With time, bright Orange high-lights grow in on the head, wing curves, and legs. Full grown they are about half the size of an African Grey. Adults are good talkers. All my pet Jardines talk. They even use a few words with meaning (asking to be picked up, asking for a snack, asking for a head scratch). Jardines tend to be very silly when they play throwing themselves upside down and fighting with a toy, hanging upside down and banging on a bell, or just flapping. They love spray baths with luke warm water.

I currently have one older Jardine Baby - 8 months old - who is a cream puff with people but doesn't like other birds. I am asking $625.00 for this bird.
